When to see a prosthodontist

  • One or more missing teeth, to replace with implants, a bridge or a denture.
  • A whole arch of missing or failing teeth, or a denture that moves: fixed teeth on All-on-X.
  • Broken, worn or heavily filled teeth that need crowns.
  • A smile you want changed: veneers and a Hollywood smile, designed digitally first.
  • A bite that feels wrong, or a jaw that clicks or hurts.
  • A case you were told is too complex, or bone you were told is too thin: Dr. Nabeel is known for graftless implants and complex full-arch cases.

Why a prosthodontist matters for your implants and smile

  1. The final teeth come first

Dr. Nabeel designs your new teeth before anything else: their shape, your bite, your smile line and your speech.

  2. Implants placed where the teeth need them

The implant positions and angles are planned on your 3D scan to carry that design, so the bite forces sit where they belong.

  3. A smile designed around your face

Your new smile is designed digitally around your face and lips, and you see it before treatment begins.

  4. A bite that works

Crowns, bridges and full arches are made to fit your bite precisely, so you chew, speak and smile with confidence.

  5. Teeth made to last

He began his career in dental technology, in the laboratory where crowns, bridges and dentures are made, and he knows every step of how your new teeth are built.

TV interview: bridges, dentures and dental implants

Dr. Nabeel explains, in a television interview, how missing teeth are replaced: bridges, removable dentures and dental implants, the modern approach, with digital CAD/CAM teeth within 24 hours.

Read what he says

Thank you for hosting me on this wonderful evening. First, I would like to explain to you that prosthodontics is a technique for replacing missing teeth in different ways. It starts with fixed prostheses, which are called bridges, which involve a technical procedure that includes shaving or drilling the teeth next to the missing tooth, or they can be removable teeth, removable prostheses, which are made by taking impressions of the edentulous jaws, as we call them, meaning the missing teeth, and they are sent to the dental laboratory, which makes the removable prostheses. As for dental implants, that is the modern approach, in which the missing tooth is replaced directly, without having to shave, drill or even cut any living part of the teeth, or even of the gum in the areas next to the missing space. Teeth can be fitted within 24 hours using the new technologies, namely digital impressions, the digital technologies known as CAD/CAM, which carry out an optical scan by computer of the missing teeth and the prepared teeth, and it is sent by multimedia, by computer, online, to the dental laboratory, which in turn, with this technology, builds these teeth and sends them back in less than 24 hours. Yes, there is, let's say, conventional implantology, which was first discovered in the sixties, what is called conventional implantology, and the one who discovered it was Professor Dr. Brånemark from Sweden, who was the first to make this discovery: that there is a metal compatible with the human body, namely titanium, and in light of this, dental implantology began to spread, first in Europe, and then throughout the whole world. As for the trends we are talking about: conventional implantology is the implantology that was discovered by Professor Dr. Brånemark, and it has continued from that time until now, and there is a group of doctors, or rather a group of cases, that call for this technique. As for the modern techniques that have entered our profession, which is dental implantology, they are the immediate implant technique and the one-day implant technique, which, honestly, are causing a kind of confusion for everyone. Immediate implants are different from one-day implants. Immediate implantation is a technique that was also discovered, or put into practice, using a particular technique: they place a large number of implants, and impressions are taken of these implants and the prostheses are placed on them.

Common questions

What does a prosthodontist do?

A prosthodontist replaces and rebuilds teeth. As Dr. Nabeel explains in his TV interview, prosthodontics replaces missing teeth in different ways: fixed bridges, removable dentures, and dental implants, the modern approach that replaces the missing tooth directly without drilling the neighbouring teeth. A prosthodontist also restores broken teeth with crowns, changes smiles with veneers and rebuilds whole mouths.

What is the difference between a prosthodontist and a general dentist?

A general dentist looks after everyday dental care. A prosthodontist is a specialist with years of further training in replacing and restoring teeth. Dr. Nabeel holds a master's in fixed and removable prosthodontics and the Jordanian Board in Prosthodontics, so he designs your final teeth first and places the implants to support them.

When should I see a prosthodontist?

When you are missing teeth, need implants, crowns, bridges, veneers or dentures, want a new smile, or your whole mouth needs rebuilding. And when you have been told your case is complex or your bone is too thin: Dr. Nabeel is known for graftless implants and complex full-arch cases.

Is a prosthodontist the right specialist for dental implants?

Yes. Implants are there to carry teeth, and a prosthodontist is the specialist in those teeth. Dr. Nabeel holds an implantology privilege from the UAE Ministry of Health and Prevention, plans the final teeth first, and places single implants, All-on-X full arches, same-day, graftless, pterygoid and zygomatic implants.

Do I need a referral to see Dr. Nabeel?

No. Message Dr. Nabeel on WhatsApp and he arranges your consultation. The consultation is free and includes a digital X-ray.

How much does prosthodontic treatment cost?

The consultation is free and includes a digital X-ray, and Dr. Nabeel gives you your plan and its cost in writing.

Can I send my X-ray first?

Yes. Send a recent panoramic X-ray or a few clear photos of your teeth on WhatsApp, and Dr. Nabeel replies with the next step.
